Community organizations and the public can book a variety of rooms at Surrey City Hall. These spaces are designed to host arts and cultural events, festivals, celebrations, business meetings, workshops, conferences, receptions, and fundraising events.

Note that bookings for political or religious campaigns, events, or meetings are not accepted.

Committee rooms

There are two Committee Rooms located on the ground level of City Hall. They can either be used as two separate spaces with a removable divider wall or one large space when the wall is removed.

The smaller of the two rooms can hold approximately 20 people, while the larger room can accommodate approximately 50 people. When the divider wall is removed, the room can accommodate a maximum of 75 people.

Community rooms

There are two Community Rooms located on the second level of City Hall. The Community Rooms are also available as two separate rooms for smaller gatherings or with the divider wall removed to use the entire space. Each room can accommodate approximately 30 people and combined a maximum of 75 people.

Meeting room fees

The meeting room fees vary from $15.98 to $56.25 per hour. All bookings require a refundable $200 damage deposit as well as proof of $5 million liability insurance with the City of Surrey as an addition insured. We do offer insurance through the rental at an additional cost. Rooms have a touchscreen controller (iPad) and HDMI and audio cables.

Council Chambers

Ground Floor Centre Stage Performing Arts Venue

Council Chambers transforms into a performing arts venue that is equipped for theatre, music and dance. This room can also be used for small seminars and meetings.

The City Room (atrium)

The atrium on the ground floor of City Hall is a bright, open space right when you walk through the doors of the building. The City Room has more than 3,600 square feet of usable space with two display areas.

The City Room is bookable at an hourly rate. 

Civic Plaza

Connecting City Hall, Surrey City Centre Library, Civic Hotel, KPU, and SFU, this dynamic outdoor community hub is the ideal centralized location for community celebrations. Free for non-profit community groups. For more information regarding cost and contacts, visit the Civic Plaza page.

Parking

Parking for all events at City Hall is available on the P1 level of the underground City Hall parkade.
