Councillor Pardeep Kooner

As a lifelong resident of Surrey, I am deeply committed to empowering women and advocating for my community. My journey in local government and social initiatives reflects my passion for creating equitable opportunities for all, particularly for women and marginalized groups.

My inspiration comes from my experiences within this city and the values instilled in me by my parents, whose dedication to community service shaped my passion for advocacy. I recognize the importance of amplifying the voices of those who feel unheard, including the less fortunate, seniors, and youth. By championing women's empowerment initiatives and encouraging women to step into leadership roles, I hope to inspire future generations to break barriers and create meaningful change.

Currently, I serve on numerous committees at both the city and Metro Vancouver levels, where I integrate financial insights with community needs. I take pride in ensuring that decisions are made with equity and inclusion at the forefront, fostering a vibrant and inclusive city. My vision is to create a Surrey built on unity and progress, where every resident has the opportunity to live a healthy and fulfilling life.
